Diversity and Inclusion Enrichment Funding
The Office of University Diversity and Inclusion (OUDI) is committed to advancing diversity and inclusion through education, advocacy, and engagement to promote a culture of respect, equity, and social justice. DEI enrichment funding is available to support on-campus events and programming that enhance the campus climate and foster an inclusive and equitable environment for all students, faculty, and staff.
Funding requests will be evaluated based on the following criteria:
- Alignment with University Values: Programs must support and enhance Cal Poly’s commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging.
- Impact: Programs should demonstrate a clear potential to make a significant positive impact on the campus climate with an emphasis on inclusion.
- Equity and Inclusion: Events and programs should be inclusive, accessible, and open to all members of the university community, promoting broad and diverse participation.
- Sustainability: If not a one-time event, preference will be given to initiatives that articulate sustainability beyond the immediate funding period, including the potential for lasting impact or future funding opportunities.
- Collaboration: Programs that involve collaboration between multiple campus departments, student organizations, or community groups will be prioritized to foster a wider sense of community and shared responsibility.
Approved funding will be paid with OUDI State and Student Success Fee Funds. Most grants are funded in the $500-$1,500 range based on the size of the intended audience.
- Cal Poly students, staff, faculty, or groups can apply for funding
- Only one sponsorship may be granted to the individual or group per fiscal year
