About
Our Commitment
While most of the Cal Poly community is learning and working remotely due to the coronavirus pandemic, know that we are just as committed to ensuring that Cal Poly remains a place where everyone is respected and feels they belong. The Office of University Diversity and Inclusion (OUDI) is operating remotely as well. If you need to get in touch, email us at diversity@calpoly.edu.
About Us
The Office of University Diversity and Inclusion leads efforts to build diversity and promote inclusion through a collective impact framework that connects with partners and aligns university-wide efforts in order to achieve inclusive excellence; attract and respond to a diverse campus community; and nurture a respectful and inclusive campus climate. Cal Poly aims to ensure all graduates leave Cal Poly more prepared to tackle future challenges and have the competencies needed to live and work in a diverse and global society. OUDI’s team works to increase awareness of our values in support of diversity and inclusion by communicating consistently and in multiple ways about our immediate and longer-term actions and initiatives. OUDI takes a leadership role in a variety of projects and programs at Cal Poly, including the BEACoN Mentors program, the Collective Impact process, several diversity and inclusion trainings, and the President’s Diversity Awards.
