"The Collective" is an open community centering underrepresented faculty across the entire university. The Collective offers opportunities to gain professional development, join our Mentoring program, be a part of our Research Collaborative, and to gather in community. More information about each component can be found below.

Large Group Meetings

We'll gather together twice a quarter to build community, listen to our colleagues, and participate in workshops and discussions.

Mentoring Program

Our mentoring program is made up of volunteer faculty and administrators across the university. Look through our Mentor Directory to see who might be a good fit for you. Additional materials on mentoring coming soon. If you'd like to become a Mentor, please sign up here.

Cal Poly is a member of the National Faculty Center for Diversity and Development - more information here.

Research Collaborative (in partnership with the Division of Research)

The Collective Research Collaborative will offer information sessions regarding research at Cal Poly and beyond. Additionally, writing circles will be offered on a regular basis.
