Concert with Ruby Ibarra on May 12th

The Office of Diversity and Inclusion is proud to be co-sponsoring, along with the Ethnic Studies Department, the College of Liberal Arts, and ASI, a concert with Ruby Ibarra. Ibarra is a Filipino American rapper, spoken word artist, and producer whose intricate lyricism and powerful messages reflect the immigrant experience in the United States. Ibarra's music is multilingual, and she raps in English, Waray, and Tagalog. She is also an activist who founded the "Pinayas Rising" scholarship to promote the continuation of higher education for young Filipino women.

The concert will take place on May 12th from 5:45–7:00 p.m. at the University Union Plaza and is open to all. We hope you can join us for this concert or one of the many events on campus this month to celebrate the APDIA community.AUDI is proud to be co-sponsoring a concert with Filipina American rapper and spoken word artist Ruby Ibarra on May 12th from 5:45 p.m.- 7:00 p.m. at the UU plaza.
