Movember Closing Keynote Address
Mark your calendadr for the Movember Closing Keynote address, featuring Blake Williams. The keynote address will take place over Zoom (ID: 850 7203 0629) on Thursday, November 19, 5:30-6:30PM.
Movember is an international men’s health awareness month during November, traditionally concentrating on fundraising, events, and awareness for prostate and testicular cancer, and suicide prevention.
This year, Men & Masculinities, part of Student Diversity and Belonging in the Division of Student Affairs, has chosen the theme of Black Men’s Health, bringing an intentional focus through our events to the health and wellbeing of those who identify, have experience with, and are in community with Black manhood and masculinities—past, present, future, or fluid.
Blake Williams is one of the first students involved with Men & Masculinities back in 2011. As a Cal Poly alum, former behavioral therapist, mental health advocate, and fitness consultant, Blake brings a unique perspective to some of the most pressing questions related to Black men's health today.
Participants are invited to submit questions for Blake on these topics. You can send in your questions to tinyurl.com/MovemberClose
